Arn’t the employees getting paid for their jobs.. why worry about happiness quotient? It’s for them to develop effective coping skills..
Of course !!! But AT what Cost ???
When people feel negative they become critical of each other, and this engenders fault finding mode of thinking, and win-lose approach to problems. Negative people concentrate on what is wrong and attempt to correct it. On the contrary, a positive mood stimulates people to be creative, tolerant, constructive, generous and non-defensive. The focus is not on what is wrong, but on what is right and how to contribute together to achieve higher goals.
Happy employees have lower medical costs, work more efficiently, have less absenteeism & low employee turn over. Does it make business sense ?
